ImageNew smartphones seem to center around better cameras. This year’s “next big thing” was the Samsung Galaxy S4 with its 13 megapixel camera, and the new Nokia Lumia 1020 with its astounding 41 megapixel camera, which makes that phone thicker than most of its contemporaries, and now word has leaked out (along with some pictures) that Sony is readying a 20 megapixel phone called the Honami. The question is: are people willing to spend a lot more for a phone with a better camera, or will they stick with a handheld camera and their old phones? Current reports show that smartphone sales are leveling off, and older models are doing great sales in developing countries.
